Charity Terms and Conditions
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DISBURSEMENT OF CHARITY FUND, AS FORMULATED BY THE CHARITY COMMITTEE.
The collected charity fund including the previous year’s balance has to be disbursed to the eligible applicants who fulfill the requirements mentioned below, for the purpose stipulated below:-
1. Kidney Dialysis patients.
2. Medical Expenses other than kidney dialysis.
3. Support for Education
4. Support for Marriage
5. Financial aid to Poor, including homeless.
Kidney Dialysis Patients: 30% of the total amount collected for the Charity Fund will be sanctioned to the eligible patients and the amount will be paid directly to the hospital by Cheque, after verification.
Eligibility Criteria – General:
1. Preference will be given to the members of our Parish, subject to,
a. The applications are to be supported with relevant documents for the purpose and as mentioned below.
b. Applications are to be verified and certified by the Vicar of our Parish.
2. If there is no eligible applications received from our Parish, the applications from any member of the Marthoma Church from Mumbai Region will be considered, provided,
a. The applications are to be supported with relevant documents for the purpose and as mentioned below.
b. Applications are to be recommended by the Vicar of the Marthoma Parish to which the applicant belongs.
c. Availability of Residential proof with government approved identity proof.
d. Certification of the application by the Vicar of our Parish, after verification of these documents.
3. If there is no eligible applicants from the above two categories, the applications of any member of Marthoma Church can be considered, provided
a. The application is supported with relevant documents for the purpose and as mentioned below.
b. Application is recommended by the Vicar of the Marthoma Parish to which the applicant belongs.
c. Residential proof with government approved identity proof.
d. Application is verified and certified by the Vicar of our Church.
4. If there is no eligible applicants for the above three categories, the applications of any one of KDMC area can be considered, if
a. The application is supported with relevant documents for the purpose and as mentioned below.
b. Application is recommended by any member of our parish, whom the applicant knows.
c. Residential proof with government approved identity proof.
d. Applications are to be verified by any members of the Charity Committee.
e. Application is verified and certified by the Vicar of our Church.
Conditions for applying for medical aid:
1. All medical applications are to be supported by medical history of the applicant and the doctor’s certificate.
2. Any emergency requirements from any member of our Parish, will be discussed and finalized by calling an emergency meeting of the Charity Committee.
Conditions for applying for support for Education:
1. Proof of documents shows that the parents of the student are economically backward/ poor.
2. Verification of the economic status of the applicant, by the members of the Charity Committee, at the discretion of the existing Charity Committee.
3. For the Parish members, the application certified by the Vicar shall be considered, in lieu of above conditions.
4. Fees documents.
Conditions for applying for support for Marriage:
1. Proof of documents showing that the parents of the bride/ bridegroom are economically backward/ poor.
2. Verification of the economic status of the applicant, by the members of the Charity Committee, at the discretion of the existing Charity Committee.
3. For the Parish members, the application certified by the Vicar shall be considered, in lieu of above conditions.
4. Wedding invitation card to be produced along with the application.
Conditions for applying for financial aid to Poor, including homeless.
c. The application should clearly show the need for the aid.
d. Proof of documents showing that, the applicant is economically backward/ poor.
e. Verification of the economic status of the applicant, by the members of the Charity Committee.
The certified applications along with the supporting documents are to be presented in the Charity Committee meeting and the amount has to be approved, before making any payment. The decision of the Charity Committee will be final and binding.
